SWEATSHOP

Even though Sweatshop is no longer featured on the Apple Games Store, I was still able to get access to it. This is because of the interesting review I read about the game and wanted to experience it firsthand. I downloaded the game from another site and began playing it with a clear mind not knowing what to expect. The game is about running a clothing factory, getting orders, getting the designs done and delivering them to move to the next level.

At first, it was all fun getting orders, creating them, taking the orders to the factory and watching the workers work really hard to make sure the order comes out well. From then, delivering the orders to the customers, getting their reviews, making more points, adding new machines to the factory and employing more workers was all fun until things started changing. As I moved higher in ranking with new levels, time became a factor for me. I had to start working against time to deliver on time. But that wasn’t where the issue lied.

Take a visual imagination of a clothing factory; imagine the huge machines and all. Then imagine a bulky order coming in with a workload that is more than the amount of workers in the factory. Will you expose your workers to harm, drain them of their energy and watch their health deteriorate because you want to meet up with the orders?

That was exactly what I faced. It was a difficult decision to make. I could keep the factory floating and add more machines to it, change the designs and keep up with the orders but that would be at the detriment of my workers. It would mean losing my humanity just to make sure I build a fortune. It was sad to say the least. I don’t want to attach the word “depressing” to it but that was exactly how it felt like. I did not know that something virtual, something simulated could have such an effect on me. I had downloaded the game hoping I would prove the reviews wrong but instead it got the better of me.

This brings me to the book, Reality is Broken by Jane McGonigal. It is a book that combines reality with the gaming world to show how hours and hours pumped into game playing can be harnessed. It spoke about how games as insignificant as arcade games can go a long way in affecting our psychic as humans and how much of our emotions it can reshape and sharpen.

Sweatshop had that effect on me. It touched that part of me that makes decisions. I did not make decisions because it favoured just me. I had to put the workers in my factory into consideration. These workers may exist only in the virtual world but their wellbeing became a source of concern to me. I did not want to put them in harm’s way because I wanted something big. They came first and because of that, I stopped the game in the 8th level. I knew with the way the difficulty increased with each level, it wouldn’t be long before I start making some irrational decisions. I needed to avoid that at all cost.

This has also helped me in my dealings now in reality. If I want to make a decision now, I consider a lot of things, most of all, how it will affect others aside me.The end

The animated films are entertaining.in addition, it might be realistic, imaginary, or antiquity, etc. Nevertheless, I would repeat on this good movie we watched this week which called “Princess Mononoke “. This movie was a great image in the class of viewing people’s fight thoughts and feeling. It expressions how beginning war or going through once will do away with our background and lands. The personal property of war they demonstration in this film are not different; what is going on the world from fighting or happened before in the past. Each war that chanced back in history missing many adversities behindhand it in this lovely world. For example, Hiroshima and Nagasaki the double towns that were damaged by nuclear bullets from the United States in the war. Moreover, Palestine is totally demolished by the Israeli employment. And also, Afghanistan curved up to be unfilled land because of terrorist doings. Nevertheless, this film is a great message to give people a clear image of how war is. Also, it shows people’s feeling on the way to war. It explains how people in responsibility think about war, and how their thoughts sometimes prime to more ferocity. In the article” Why Princess Mononoke” is even extra pertinent 20 years later, the author clarifies how the strength in the film is similar to realism. Also, he mentions how the story of the film expressions the penalties of war and ferocity will reflect on the atmosphere. Also, he explicates that lively could present history. For example, most of the Japanese active talks about history even though history is not the main subject of the film. Therefore, using lively would brand our history remain longer, and it will help to explain kids about history while they are pleasurable.Animated films and shows are a abundant way to conscious human of the many subjects that are people and the world hurt from. The benefit of making Animated is that people would take it in the imaginary way which they will agree it no trouble what trust or faith they feel right to. In my opinion, lively is not more or less real than real films, shows, and documentary. It just be contingent on how you products it. Inscription a good handwriting is the key to have a good part of work in movies ground. However, writing animated movies is more flexible than real movies because writers can go out of the case without being interrogated. In other words, it is easy to overstate and expensive in animated more than real movies which makes it easier for writers to increase their fancy on their writing without boundary. That would make animated effective because writers could use more of their writing talent which will make their writing sturdier and lead to great real work. Therefore, it should be more animated in Movies Drama and movies stream about realism since they are getting popular today. The reason for that is showing issues in a creative temperate way which will be satisfactory to watch from most groups. Animated will be a good strong tool to conscious people of problems as long as we use it correct.

The Horizon of Transformational Leadership Many researchers have shown the impact of transformational leadership on employees and how they evoke their performance from average employee to leaders. The reason why it happens is still ambiguous, and this proof of concept will present the sound evidence behind it. This peer review will also investigate how employee engagement provokes the bond between transformational leadership and outcome on a given project and ultimately increases employee retention. Many peer reviews and research papers have studied job retention, transformational leadership, and performance statistics on a macro scale and even linked all these, but this feasibility report goes into the microanalysis of this conceptualization. Understanding how employee engagement work can ultimately yield the desired outcome, effectiveness, and efficiency. The subject participants are aged from 18 to 77 years of age with a mean age of 40 years, and among them, 76 percent are male, and 26 percent are female. The subject leaders assign a project to the subordinates to be accomplished in a specified time and then performance will be studied by time and motion scientific technique and impact of transformational leadership will be linked with the real-time outcome. It further shows that transformational leaders an engaging workplace with the help of ideal influence, motivation, inspiration, intellectual manipulation, and individual consideration. The results of this feasibility report will provide evidence that employee engagement incites the link between the result of a given project and transformational leadership and unexpectedly increases employee retention. The audience of this proof of concept will be leaders and organizations because it will help them to extract expected outcome from human resources by applying the techniques of engagement and transformation management. The key performance indicators here are transformational leadership, employee engagement, and desired outcome. The critical finding of this review is the extraction of performance from employee beyond the inherent project interest, and this can be a significant efficiency amplification tool for organizations which relay enormously on human resources. SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH STORYTELLING In the 1980s, the Government of North Korea made a film about Koreans living in Japan called the “Anti-Japanese Struggle” to show the dilapidated way in which the North Koreans staying in Japan lived. They did this film for propaganda sake and to create awareness that anywhere outside of North Korea is bad to live in. But something went wrong. The propaganda did not hold water as it opened the eyes of the people to the luxury in which North Koreans living in Japan were enjoying. It took a lot of control for the Government to put down a rebellion that was already brewing. Also, in the West African Country of Nigeria, lots of documentary was aired by the Government of Dr. Ebele Goodluck Jonathan to buttress a point. He wanted to show Nigerians how electing a former Army General, Muhammadu Buhari, would be a bad choice. Things that took place in the year 1983-1984 when the General held power after a bloodless coup showed the level of decadence there was then. But Nigerians still went ahead to vote in the Government of Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 elections. In both of the above cases, while one of the former of the film was made to suppress the people, the latter was made to throw more light on the choice the people were about to make. Unfortunately, both films failed to make the impact with which they were created. The cinematography of the 1983 film, The Anti-Japanese Struggle, was well orchestrated but since it was partly shot in Japan, it showed buildings, freedom and technologies that the North Koreans could only dream of. It showed a land where the future of them and their children was assured. Even though the film contained solemn music and the narrator tried a hundred times to cast aspersion on the Government of Japan, it only stemmed the already burning flame yearning for freedom. The Nigerian documentary followed the same trend; solemn music, message that pointed out what had transpired almost two decades ago and the voice of the narrator repeating the same question, “Can a dictator ever become a democrat?” I used the above documentary amongst the long list of documentary I have watched to point out one thing, even though social change can be achieved using documentaries, sometimes the target audience could be yearning for something else. Even though the impact of documentary on social change cannot be totally overruled as it had brought changes in the Governments of some countries, opened the eyes of everyone to climate change and is also currently being used to help prevent some endangered species of animals from going into full extinction, I am of the opinion that apart from airing just documentaries with captivating pictures, videos and music with solemn tunes, documentaries should be free of negative propagandas. It should be aired as it is and nothing that isn’t should be infused into it. Documentaries is a form of journalism and like other forms of journalism, it shouldn’t just be put together. Adequate work needs to be done to get the story behind the documentary as in the films, Deadly Fashion and Cooked: Episode 2, “Water”.

By the way, I have never really considered the effect of pop culture talk into my results when it comes to buying something off the shelf because pop culture has clearly taken over the conventional advertising sector. Before I investigate deeply into how I feel pop culture has affected my decision production, let me make high light of what pop culture is and its relation to the American customer culture today. Popular culture (also called pop culture) is generally familiar by members of a culture as a set of the practices, beliefs and objects that are leading a society at a given point in time. Popular culture also includes the activities and feelings produced as a result of interaction with these overriding objects. In sure the influenced in modern times by media, this collection of ideas invades the everyday lives of people in a given society. In addition, pop culture dates back to the nineteenth century and is therefore historical in nature. Marketers in the nineteenth century found a way of imparting pop culture into marketing. They made use of what was in trend then to influence people to purchase their goods and services. Through media stations such as television and radio, they were able to effect how a lot of people dress, how they walk, how they talk and even what they eat. Through putting a lot of these contents in advertisements, they have been able to slowly but surely influence the lifestyles of people generally. Pop culture trailed down from the nineteenth century and basically held waves in the 20th century. Not only was it used to influence the general way of life of the American people and the world in general, it was also used to choose the course of the 2nd World War through understated advertising. Transporting it back to the twenty-first century and how far and wide form media has taken the world more closer than it was in the 19th Century; I will say that pop culture has really done a lot of influencing not only on the American culture but also the world at large. The Greatest Movie Ever Sold which was produced in the year 2011 went on to perform intensely in the market and also got a good rating from Rotten Tomatoes did so because it helped a lot of goods and services through pop culture. Music that made wave then was infused into the movie which general dealt with marketing and sales of goods and services to pull buyers and influence decisions. Personally, the way I dress and even my personal effects are all products of pop culture. I may not have noticed it then but looking at it now, everything seems to point at the fact that pop culture has influenced me a lot. The use of media for an even and wider distribution of pop culture has shifted the American Culture from the shores of America to every corner of the world. Not only have ways of life changed, it has also created a kind of major awareness and has also brought about a lot of change to this receipt cultures.
